Summer Montessori (Current Summit Montessori students ages 3-6)
Your child may continue to explore and expand their knowledge and experience with the Montessori materials and educational process through this first time offering. Summer Montessori class will be offered for any current (2007-08 school and year) Summit Montessori student, age 3-6 (attending first grade in the fall). This class will be taught by current Summit Montessori teachers. The Montessori philosophy and materials will be those with which your child is familiar.
The lead teachers of this summer Montessori class will communicate with your child’s current lead teacher to determine where in the continuum your child is currently working so that there is an easy transition to the classroom. This process will be repeated again in the fall when fall classes resume and your child returns to their regular school year teacher.
Whether you want your child to attend one week or all nine, they may be able to retain more of the skills and knowledge that they worked so hard to achieve through the school year by being able to practice those skills through the summer.
This will be an academic focused class. Each week of Summer Montessori class will be limited to 24 students only.
For summer fun and activities you may consider having your child stay for the afternoon session of “Summer at The Summit- Summer Camp”. Each week children will have fun with different activities, games- inside and out, field trips, crafts, books, fun facts, and friendships.
