Montessori App Process
Montessori Preschool-Kindergarten
The Summit accepts applications to The Lower School throughout the year and decisions are made on a rolling admission basis, as space permits. The following steps must be completed before an application will be reviewed by the Admission Committee.
- Submit a completed admission application with the $25 non-refundable processing fee prior to the applicant’s interview. Please make checks payable to The Summit Country Day School. In an effort to acquaint ourselves with prospective students, an applicant photo – though optional – is appreciated. Applicants seeking entrance to Kindergarten must submit a teacher recommendation form and any existing school records for your child.
- All Montessori applicants (preschool through kindergarten) are required to participate in an interview. During this interview, faculty and admission personnel will observe your child in a peer-group learning and play experience. Interviews can be scheduled on certain key dates by contacting the Admission Office. All interview sessions begin promptly at 8:45am and last approximately one hour.
- Once the admission process is complete, the Admission Office will communicate to parents regarding the Admission Committee’s decision.
